Bihar has been cultivating makhana for centuries, with knowledge passed down through generations of farmers who understand the delicate art of harvesting these precious seeds from lotus flowers.

The name "Phool Swaad" itself tells our story—"Phool" meaning flower (the lotus from which makhana grows), and "Swaad" meaning taste. It's the authentic taste of Bihar, the taste of tradition, the taste of purity.

Growing up in Bihar, I witnessed firsthand the incredible nutritional power of makhana and the hard work of our local farmers. Yet, the world was filled with inferior products that didn't do justice to this superfood's true potential.

From MBA Student to Makhana Entrepreneur

I realized that Bihar's finest treasure deserved to reach every health-conscious home in India— with the same purity, quality, and care that our ancestors knew.

My name is Md Faizan Reyaz, and I'm both an MBA student specializing in Finance & Analytics and a proud son of Bihar. While studying business and data, I couldn't ignore the incredible opportunity staring me in the face.

Bihar produces over 90% of the world's makhana, yet most people had never experienced truly premium, fresh, properly processed fox nuts. The disconnect between our farmers' exceptional harvest and what reached consumers troubled me deeply.

Armed with analytical skills from my MBA and deep-rooted connection to Bihar's agricultural heritage, I set out to bridge this gap. Phool Swaad Makhana was born from this vision.
